Cheyenne, WY

This is what the town of Cheyenne, Wyoming looks like when you are so hungover you can barely walk or talk. I made friends with some nice blue heelers on the back of a flat bed truck and my boyfriend tried to convince his Dad that he did not require cowboy boots. I found a hilarious record store that felt like the 1990s and the antique store had every single Playboy ever published. Someone was playing the bagpipes... it was all very surreal.

Don't ever drink bourbon with cowboys.

Don't tell my Mum I was wearing trainers.

FoCo or Bust

In summary:: I wore the wrong shoes to bullriding, did way too much thrifting (and shopping in general), drank pumpkin beer in all the bars, went to Wyoming, went up the mountains, almost saw bears, did not see Moose (Moose elivated to same mythical level as Unicorns), pumpkins, hidden bars,  got lost in books, picked rose quartz fresh from the banks of the Cache le Poudre river, generally lived the lady of leisure dream for a few days...

I did shoot some film, honest!

I love how in Colorado the sky can go from batten down the hatches to SP5 50+ in the space of a day.

Hide the Gunpowder

Last September, Matthew and I went to Fort Collins Colorado to stay with his Dad for a couple of weeks. It was pretty sweet. We spent most of our spare time riding bikes along the Cache La Poudre River*

I finally got around to scanning the last roll of film from the trip [I am rubbish!] and really like these photos of us chilling beside the river.

We've been talking a bunch about going back out there again this September and I'm really looking forward to it. Looking forward to more adventures up the Poudre, horseback riding in the mountains and the possibility of seeing some MOOSE!

*Until we fell victim to 'Puncture Thorns' and had to walk home which is a whole worst day of my life story.
